I stayed because I had a work conference here and have to say I enjoyed the hotel a lot. I travel a ton for work and normally stay at Tru by Hilton or Hamptons. The Hyatt was nicer than my first apartment. It had a small kitchen, living area and a nice bathroom. Max greeted me upon arrival and got us checked in. He was nice as could be and really went all out to be kind and make sure I was taken care of. I was kind of a jerk at first too because I thought he was trying to sign me up for some points/club/membership thing. He wasn't but I really hate all that kind of stuff. The Hotel is very clean, well maintained and the room was really comfortable. I stayed in room 875, didnt hear any of the guests around me. Very quiet and I slept great for the three nights of my stay. The air conditioning got the room cooled off quickly and was pretty silent. If I had to nitpick anything I would say the bathtub is a bit outdated, time to add a stand up shower I think. I would also like more of a selection of drinks/food items in the little hotel store. Those are more personal wants than a problem with the location though. Overall I would stay here anytime I am in town.

We were very pleased with our stay at this Hyatt location! Large and comfy suite, with everything you will need for your stay. Great breakfast, late check out for Hyatt members! Water daily. The Front Desk Manager, Francesca, is absolutely amazing—kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. She leads a wonderful team of friendly and helpful front desk staff, including Darnel and the young lady who was working the evening shift. The valet team also went above and beyond. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the outstanding hospitality from everyone and will definitely be back in the near future. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We recently stayed here for 6 nights over the Fourth of July holiday for a family vacation, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. I give 2 stars for the valet staff—Jack and his coworkers were really amazing. They were consistently friendly to us and our dogs, always offering to give them dog treats, they were so welcoming, and very helpful! There was also one tall gentleman who worked at the front desk who went out of his way to be kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, the rest of the front desk staff left the opposite impression. I do want to emphasize that we specifically chose this hotel because it advertises itself as dog-friendly, but that could not have been further from our experience! During the last 2 days of our stay, the front desk employee questioned me in a very rude manner about how many dogs I had in my room and then he proceeded to inform me there had been many complaints about them, despite us being responsible pet owners, and having no complaints the entire trip thus far. Rather than showing any understanding, the interaction with him and the women working with him made us feel anxious and incredibly unwelcome. Even more frustrating was the lack of any suitable place to take our dogs outside. We asked the front desk about this and they said there were no designated spaces, to just go outside and look around. When we did, the only available areas were dirt patches next to active construction sites and another area that was literally covered in broken glass (as seen in my photo). That is neither safe nor acceptable for guests traveling with pets. Calling this hotel “dog-friendly” is incredibly misleading. There were no pet amenities, no designated relief area, very little consideration for guests traveling with dogs, and almost all staff members, aside from the valet team, made us feel like our pets were an inconvenience, rather than welcomed guests. Overall, I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone—especially if you’re traveling with pets.

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt House for our friends wedding at the beginning of May. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the accommodations were super comfortable and spacious and the location couldn't have been beat with the ability to walk to the wedding and so many great spots in town. We especially appreciated the wine and local snacks that were left in our room. Thank you for the special touches and to your staff for the great treatment during our stay. We hope to be back in the future and will look to stay with you again!

The Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District team is fantastic. We encountered some technical errors with our checkin due to corporate Hyatt communication with this onsite team. The team graciously aplogized for any incovenience and did anything they were able to do to make it right. Friendly and fair and professional team. Such wonderful hospitality in the Holy City. I'll be back.

Fantastic location and a beautiful, clean hotel. Love the suite style rooms. Every staff member we encountered—from valet to front desk, housekeeping, and dining—was incredibly kind, welcoming and above and beyond helpful! The customer service truly blew us away. We hosted a conference here and stayed overnight, and the experience exceeded expectations. We would absolutely do it again!

Our family loved this spot. The location is great for parking when you arrive and not taking your car out again until you leave. There are a ton of shops and restaurants around. Check in was quick, our room was lovely, and it has an indoor pool for the kids to get out their wiggles. We were disappointed with the Pour Restaurant but enjoyed breakfast. There is an attached but unaffiliated restaurant called MESU that was delightful and gives a discount to Hyatt customers.

Stayed here with my family and we loved the place. Rooms were clean. The customer service was amazing and we got to go to blum coffee and wine bar on meeting street, which was a quick you were right away. And have the time of our lives there. we went at night for the wine bar and the beer bar and it was just amazing. There's also restaurants close by as well.

This visit I stayed on the newly renovated Hyatt House side of the hotel. I loved the design of the room the use of the space was so functional while offering private areas. One of my favorite features was the luggage dresser. It was so nice to have a designated place to get my suitcase unpacked and out of the way. Shower pressure and temp was great. My AC worked wonderful and I appreciate that it wasn’t on a motion sensor that would turn off in the night. The gym is pretty modest with older equipment but they still had a peloton & decent variety of machines. I skipped breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The only thing that frustrates me is that hotel guests don’t get a discounted parking rate at the city garage connected to the property. Getting in and out of this hotel can be a little stressful especially if you’re driving a larger vehicle. It’s a pretty tight space to maneuver. Aim to check in a little early or late to avoid the chaos. I arrived right at check in time and the parking area in front was packed. You have to squeeze past other vehicles by literal inches. However that’s par for the course in a historic city. This will continue to be my go to hotel for future visits.
