A great property is important, but great people are what make a stay memorable. Don and Erin were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, and Samuel and Taylor at the bar were outstanding. Every interaction felt genuine, and they created an atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy our time here. The staff made us feel less like guests and more like regulars, which says a lot considering we were only here for a short stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality and look forward to coming back the next time we’re in town.

I stayed at this hotel for a work meeting for one evening. The aesthetics and room were great. What I would like to highlight here is a specific event that occurred that elevates this staff higher than 5 stars, I’d give them 10! I was doing work in the lounge during breakfast when I went to grab a cup of coffee add, shortly after, I realized my tote was gone. Trying to remain calm, I notified Heather at the desk, who immediately went to review the videotapes. After exhausting research we learned it was taken unintentionally, however, I needed it to drive home to Florida as my driver’s license was in the bag. That’s when Taylor, Senior Sales Manager, and Deitrin worked intently on locating the person who took it. When that person was identified, they notified them and encouraged them to return to hotel. At this point a wonderful police officer Allen sternly informed them they needed to return as, although intentionally taken, they still had stolen property. They were on their way to their family in Virginia and agreed to come back. While I was waiting, they extended my room stay and bought me lunch. I am not an entitled person and very grateful, and feel this problem was resolved because of the dedication to customer service, tenacity and kindness all staff and police exemplified. I am so appreciative of their help in resolving this potentially disastrous situation. I look forward to returning to this location and enjoying the hotel and city without drama. ?

Just stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Charleston Patriots Point for work and it is one of those new properties where you can immediately feel the fresh energy. The hotel only opened a few weeks ago, and everything still has that clean, thoughtfully designed feel. I arrived late on Monday night and was genuinely welcomed by Christopher, the General Manager, and Heather at the front desk. That kind of warm arrival sets the tone right away. Also appreciated the sweet surprise of the Not Fried Chicken ice cream, such a fun touch after a long travel day. There is a convenient grab and go market right by the front desk, which makes late arrivals or quick bites super easy. The rooms are spacious, clean, and really comfortable. You can tell this is a new build. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a stovetop, dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, plenty of storage, a dining table, seating area, and a work desk. It is very much set up for longer stays or work trips that need a bit more breathing room. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom felt modern and fresh. On property you will find a small gym and an outdoor pool, plus a bar and dining area that gives it a nice social feel. Breakfast is complimentary and includes eggs, waffles, cereal, toast, coffee, juices, and more. A solid and easy start to the day. One highlight was the bar experience. We had great drinks and the bartender was excellent. The passionfruit cocktail stood out, super refreshing and well balanced. What stood out most overall is the design and atmosphere. The hotel’s decor highlights the nearby Ravenel Bridge and coastal Charleston influences with blues and oyster shell inspired details. The lobby especially feels cozy, almost like a living room with a fireplace and relaxed seating throughout. Everyone I met was friendly and clearly excited about the property, which adds to the overall experience. One practical note, since it is a newer location, ride share drivers may need a bit more direction. Hailey at the front desk was kind enough to share nearby landmarks to make pickup and drop off smoother, which was really helpful. Overall, a very comfortable stay with great service, thoughtful design, and easy access to Patriots Point. I would definitely stay again.

I just stayed here with my family, and I absolutely loved every second of it! The staff are amazing, nice, have a great sense of humor, and they ALL have different ways of making you feel welcomed! I love the atmosphere here I could live here lol. 10/10 definitely recommend. From the bar to the restaurant to the managers and to the front desk it feels like we were all family! And that made me feel so warm since i’m not from around here. One thing i noticed was the cleanness. You can tell they don’t play about their guests and that is so important! If i could recommend this hotel to the world i definitely would, EVERYONE NEEDS TO EXPERIENCE THE TYPE OF RESPECT THAT THIS HOTEL OFFERS! Don’t even get me started on the location it is BEAUTIFUL. There is nothing that I would change about this hotel. Everyone is so well taken care of and guests are prioritized! Hotels like to set a standard for respecting and prioritizing guests, but this hotel exceeds that expectation! From the moment i walked in me and my family were prioritized. There are absolutely no cons about this hotel. I LOVE IT. Will be coming back!!

We recently stayed at the newly opened Residence Inn at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property was thoughtfully designed and exceptionally well managed. Everything feels brand new, clean, and modern, with a fresh, welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets it apart. One of the standout highlights of our stay was the breakfast service—truly the best we’ve experienced at any Residence Inn by Marriott. The presentation was exceptional, with everything laid out in such an organized, thoughtful, and visually appealing way. There was a great variety of options, including delicious toppings for the oatmeal and an excellent coffee setup that made mornings easy and enjoyable. What made the experience even more special was Erin, who manages the breakfast area. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell she takes great pride in her work—everything was perfectly maintained, and she went out of her way to ensure guests felt taken care of. Her presence really elevated the entire experience. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic addition to the area. If you’re visiting Patriots Point or the Charleston area, this Residence Inn is an outstanding choice. We will absolutely be back.
