Recent reviews indicate significant inconsistencies at the DoubleTree by Hilton Summerville Nexton, with frequent complaints regarding internet connectivity, room cleanliness, and maintenance issues. While staff are generally praised for their friendliness, several guests report problems with room conditions, including mold, broken appliances, and outdated furnishings. Brianna and Olivia are super sweet. As for the hotel, it’s been a horrible experience. I’m traveling for business so internet is important. Either the internet was down, or it doesn’t stay connected. The Admin internet works but doesn’t reach the rooms and I was on the 2nd floor. This was only offered to me after requesting to check out. The food I had for breakfast was not good, grits were terrible but the guy waiting on us was not friendly. He gave us the wrong omelet and when I told him he just shrugged like I was supposed to just eat it. I did cause I wasn’t dealing with the attitude but I never ate there again because of this. Rooms are okay but need more attention. I have pictures of dust and dirt in many places. Wont stay here again unless they address these issue especially the internet! As a gold member, I wasn’t offered anything for that not even water! I’ve stayed across the street at the Homewood and that was the better option. Edited to add: there was no attempt to address the issues while I was on property. I stayed for 4 nights. I have several text message of my attempt to get this fixed or addressed. But as you said, you continue to battle an internet issue that is super important to have when traveling on business.

the staff is incredible at this hotel and did everything in their power to make my stay comfortable my rooms themselves had a lot of issues. I say rooms because we had to transfer. First room on the first floor: The bartender ignored the staff and left the bar open until 2am. The lobby was extremely loud and there was a gap under the door. We couldn't sleep. The automatic blinds has a broken remote and came up at 7am without any way to stop it. They ended up moving us upstairs the next day which we appreciated. Second room: Air conditioning was broken. Toilet did not flush properly. blood? stain on the sheets. No Chromecast or Smart TV features on the televisions to my knowledge. Extremely slow wifi. Much slower than mobile data and randomly disconnects. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was onsite laundry. That was out of order unfortunately. Again the staff here is amazing (not the bartender) but the maintenance crew has a lot of work to do.

The rooms are very nice and feel new. The large chaise lounge is enough for the two of us to sit on and wind down for the night comfortably. The lighting is great with ambient lighting in the head board. The mirror is bluetooth enabled so you can listen to music while you enjoy the walk in shower. The coffee bar is well stocked. Definitely a great place to stay the night.

This is a contemporary decor hotel in a nice location. It's convenient(within minutes) of shopping, dining, gas stations, the interstate, and perhaps more. Of note, my bed was very comfy, for sleeping, as compared to some of my stays at other hotels. The rooms were very clean, and for double occupancy, very spacious. I would have given a 4 star rating if not for 2 issues.... the 1st room we were assigned too had most of the lights not working; and the 2nd room had the desk chair in disrepair. It either needed to be replaced or recovered. Due to our short overnight stay and deteriorating weather conditions, we did not have an opportunity to dine at the hotel.

????? – Unacceptable Conditions and Continued Lack of Accountability Stay date: Late 2025 DoubleTree by Hilton This was one of the most disappointing Hilton stays I have ever experienced, made worse by the fact that I have given this property more than enough time to respond. I sent two separate emails to the General Manager, neither of which were acknowledged. This hotel is owned by Raines Hospitality (RAINES), and the lack of follow-up and accountability is concerning. Prior to arrival, I replied to Hilton’s standard text message and specifically requested that my room be double-checked for cleanliness, especially the bathroom. I was assured this would be done. It was not. At approximately 4:00 a.m., when I went to shower, I found extensive mold throughout the bathroom and what appeared to be feces left in the toilet. The room was filthy and far below Hilton standards. I travel several weeks each month and stay exclusively with Hilton across multiple states. I am not someone who complains lightly. I did not request a room change because I arrived late, was exhausted, and needed to leave very early. I checked out quietly instead. I escalated the issue to Hilton Corporate. While I did receive an initial email from Ms. Little, there was no further response after I expressed my disappointment. It felt more like a procedural response than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue. Between the condition of the room, the lack of response from the General Manager, and the failure to follow through at the corporate level, this stay was deeply disappointing. I expect much better from the Hilton brand.

We stayed here for three nights while moving between houses, and it was the perfect place to recharge. The rooms were spotless and the beds were incredibly comfortable—exactly what we needed after long days of moving. The bathroom was spacious, and the stand-up shower was amazing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As a gluten-free guest, I was thrilled that they had gluten-free cookies available! Highly recommended.

I want to make a great review as I travel all over the world, I’ve stayed in many hotels, and customer service is always something. I look forward to. I must say Olivia at the front desk of this location was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive and extremely kind. Her energy and smile at the front desk of a great representation of the Hilton brand. Thank you Olivia.

Just to start, every staff member I interacted with were amazing, friendly, helpful and attentive. On paper, this place seems promising. The rooms are spacious, the bed is genuinely comfortable, and the pillows are fantastic. The location is convenient, easily accessible by the interstate. However, these are the only positive aspects. The negatives are numerous. There are no streaming services on the TV, and the WiFi was out for over two days. The room looked like it had been cleaned recently but was dusty, dull, and carried a faint “corporate fatigue” smell. The air conditioning wouldn’t go below 72°, making it uncomfortable to stay in. The furniture was all stained and needed to be steam cleaned. The workspace was oddly designed. The desk was too high, and the chair, while comfortable, was too low, creating an uncomfortable position for writing. As a 6’4” person, sitting in the desk chair at its highest position, the desk still came to chest level with me. Overall, the hotel has the warmth of an airport terminal, cold and functional, but forgettable. To top it off, there was no check-in cookie, which is a small thing but significant when your entire brand revolves around it. This place isn’t the worst, but it’s far from Hilton’s best effort. It’s an old Cambria Hotel, so it hasn’t been maintained to Hilton standards from the beginning. A little more care and attention to detail could transform this forgettable hotel into a “I can’t wait to go back” hotel.

Can’t complain at all about the service. Everyone was friendly and fixed anything that I pointed out. The credit card reader went out for a couple of days which made it a little challenging. Breakfast and dinner were good. Bar had a good selection. Fitness room had a very good selection.
