Traveling with a 2 and 4 year old on a summer vacation. Echoing the complaints of other parent travelers—the room had a marginally cold very small mini fridge, no microwave (which is needed when traveling with small children), and no easy grab and go breakfast or coffee options. There is a coffee machine for communal use but a fresh brewedw coffee in the lobby area could go a long way. The staff in general is not very friendly or accommodating—we asked about sitters for a night and they had no recommendations or vetted services. “There is an app some parents use”. Not helpful. Several times we asked for forks or spoons to have things in our room for the kids (like yogurts) and were met with blank stares that they don’t have disposable cutlery to share despite having multiple places to eat onsite (??). My husband asked to use a microwave to help our kids eat some leftovers after a long day at the beach and again found unhelpful staff. It’s a bummer as the location is great and the room is generously sized, pool is lovely. Service and a few small room updates would go a long way here.

Great location for traveling with young children. The pool was great for relaxing with our 3 year old and having drinks delivered pool side from the bar. The room was nicely sized and comfortable. However, we had 3 wasps/hornet nests and had to ask several times for all of them to get taken care of. When someone did come to assist they just sprayed them and did not remove the nests. There was no fridge in the room and not a lot of options on the TV without paying high prices (to add a Nickelodeon package for just a few hours was $17). It was also nice to have several on-site options for food and beverages, but would've liked some kind of complimentary options for at least breakfast for the price of the stay. Also, it would've been nice to have a convenience store area for snacks and drinks that was open later than 8pm.

We have absolutely loved our stay at the Beach Club. I’ve been coming to Mount Pleasant for more than 15 years and can’t believe I never discovered this hidden gem sooner. This is easily a 4-5 star hotel. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, the amenities are excellent, and the overall atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. Whether spending the day by the pool, enjoying the views, or simply unwinding around the property, every part of the experience felt special. What truly sets this property apart is the staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel valued throughout our stay. At the same time, we had a completely quiet, peaceful, unbothered stay. This has been one of the most enjoyable visits we’ve had to the Charleston area, and we’re already talking about when we can come back. We would enthusiastically recommend the Beach Club to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway with outstanding service, beautiful amenities, and a truly memorable experience.

When we first stayed here, it was gorgeous with plenty of thought put into the design for common spaces and guest rooms. Unfortunately, it's gone down hill. Every room has a private balcony with chairs and small table. The bathroom has oyster shell counters and large vanity. Our room had a large tub and step-in shower. This is our 2nd stay - we love watching the ships and having access to the pool and covered balconies. We're also a fan of the water taxi and love being able to jump on at the marina stop. Some need to knows if you stay here - plan for no microwave, eating off-site for every meal, and having a very small fridge. There were several issues during this stay. 1.) The room we were given (4th floor, end room closest to the adjacent hotel) had a completely obstructed view; staff were able to move us several hours later to the harbor view we paid for. 2.) The water main ruptured in the middle of the night and flooded many rooms on every floor. Thankfully we weren't affected directly, but but the smell of the standing water and having to navigate the hallway like a landmine was unpleasant. Staff attempted to address it quickly, but after a few nights it continued to liner. Visible damage has observed through the hotel and new people continue to be put in the affected rooms. 3.) Our room needed a lot of maintenance. The shower leaked all over the floor and into the hallway, the towel hooks came apart, the walls were stained and easy to hear through, and the patio door takes 2 hands and all your weight to move. 4.) The air conditioner stopped working and ceiling fan had 1 speed - slow. Engineering came to fix the air, but after calling for a 2nd service request, the front desk told us it was a widespread issue with most rooms being very hot. 5.) After the water main break, the water quality was comprised, with an odor and brown color. Engineering deferred us to the front desk to address at checkout. It's been a disappointing and expensive week-long stay!

As locals, we’ve done a few “staycations” at the Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina and every single experience has been incredible. The staff here are truly some of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever encountered. They consistently go above and beyond!! Accommodating early check-ins and late check-outs whenever possible so we can fully enjoy our quick 24-hour escapes, to making every stay feel special and relaxing. The rooms are always spotless and feel like such a luxury retreat while still being close to home. Even the pool bartenders are unbelievably friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time we visit. It’s rare to find a place where every interaction feels genuine, but this team absolutely delivers that. We cannot recommend this place enough for both visitors and locals looking for the perfect Charleston staycation.

Arrived Thursday the 5th of March. Woke up at 5 in the morning to a flooded bathroom and entry way because a water pipe had burst. We were relocated to a different room a few hours later…… New room seemed fine until bathroom lights would not come on. Fast forward to Sunday the 8th and had Dominoes pizza banging on the door at 130 in the morning. Here for business and I would never come back here to this resort

My family is very relaxed when it comes to reviews or not complaining about the small things on a trip. But when we showed up at 320pm and our check in time was 4pm which is understandable they could not allow us in before 4. But they told us a room wasnt available and they would call us when it was ready. Now this was perfectly fine we had already planned to go to the shop next door and hang out at the fire pit before. Then 4pm came around and no call so we go back to check in around 406 and the man said the room had been cleaned but not inspected so he would do this real fast. Which he did run up and check it out and then we got to the room around 420ish. Now this wouldnt normally both us but you spend 400-500 for one night then you expect to be able to check in on time. As checking out has to be 11am or else. Once we got to the room we quickly realized the ac was not working as it was 80 degrees in the room and the ac said it was set to 70. So we went and let the front desk people know. They did inform us that the ac had been messing up all day. They did send the repair man to fix it. Which he did get it to work a little but the ac did not work properly the rest of evening. Thankfully our trip was in feb so it was not super hot outside. Everything else was beautiful and amazing. The location is stunning and has wonderful potential. I would just suggest you get what you pay for as 500 a night is pricey.

Room service was lacking, seem to me lack of service personnel. Make sure prior or checking in to mention AAA member or military for discount, checking out they will not adjust. Shuttle was dependable on time. Fish House restaurant breakfast was a buffet, lacking. Reel inn ok. Photos indicates table paint chipping. Overall I would return.

Fabulous resort! Had a king room with patio in the beach club building. It was immaculate. Beautiful views, lovely fireplace and gorgeous bathroom. Stayed 3 nights and loved every minute of it!

I really like the hotel/facility and rooms. They are 5 stars without doubt. The mattress, pillows, sheets, cleaning were impeccable! The place is an attraction itself. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets, walk around the dock, tempered pool, free parking, shuttle to downtown and the impressive USS YORKTOWN just right there. However, my husband and I did not like the food or service at the Fish House restaurant. We had breakfast during our stay because it was convenient for our itinerary but was a poor menu, and service. Even though the price of food was fair, we were expecting better quality, menu and service. Once we checked-in at the hotel and we saw how wonderful it was/is, we were expecting everything else the same level of awesome but we were disappointed with the restaurant. Nonetheless, I highly recommend to stay in this beautiful Resort & Marina and have dinner outside if you don’t like the restaurant like in our case.
