The Sleep Inn Mt. Pleasant generally receives positive feedback, praised for its convenient location, friendly staff, and cleanliness. However, recurring issues with room maintenance (particularly showers and elevator functionality) and inconsistent breakfast offerings have been noted. Recent reviews indicate a slight dip in overall satisfaction compared to earlier experiences.
A pleasant surprise in Mount Pleasant! The grounds are beautiful, the service was top-notch and the location was tremendous. It’s 15 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from downtown, for me a perfect middle ground at an affordable price. The breakfast was decent, did the job. 10 out of 10 recommend!
We were in need of a pet friendly hotel in MP that wouldn’t break the bank. This Sleep Inn fit the bill. From the clean room, to the ongoing coffee bar, and the friendly staff there were no gaps. Breakfast had various offerings that were hot and flavorful. The staff was was more than accommodating to our special needs. A great visit during a challenging time.
I'd give it 4½ stars. The location is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only minuses for me was that the bed was extremely firm, and the shower door (for stand up showers) leaves a gap around the edge and bottom of it, which causes water to get around it. That being said, overall the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was also very nice. Depending on the day of the week, there was eggs, sausage, grits, potatoes, and pancakes. There were also waffles daily, as well as cereal, assorted yogurts, orange juice, muffins and bagels, and fresh fruit.
This was a great tucked away quiet clean place to stay between our adventures in exploring Charleston and the surrounding area. It does not have many bells and whistles but we didn't come here to stay in a hotel during vacation. We came here to see the beautiful area, people, and sites.
The location is convenient and provides easy access to the city. The room was clean, and parking was sufficient. That said, there were a few downsides. Although the standing shower was nice, the door didn’t seal properly, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor during use. As a result, there was visible mold starting to develop in the corner. The elevator also wasn’t working, which made carrying luggage to the upper floors difficult. Breakfast was very minimal no juice or protein options, just bread, cornflakes, and fruits. Overall, the property has a lot of room for improvement.
Stay here for one night after finishing a long week day. Really didn't have any issues for the one night. Staff I encountered was friendly and room was clean. Area was quiet and seemed safe
Stayed one night with my dog while traveling through Charleston. Arrived later in the evening (around 9 pm) and was greeted immediately by the front desk staff member who friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable; no complaints at all. The location is convenient to Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. I felt safe walking the dog after dark. Tucked well off the main road so it was peaceful. Breakfast buffet was typical for this level of hotel stay.
I have been staying here for over a year now and earned diamond status. Loved it and everything was perfect until the owner quit serving breakfast in the morning. Apparently, “hot breakfast” means waffles only. Save your money and go to a hotel without the breakfast advertisement. You will save money and actually have more to spend on a good breakfast.
The price was right. Not a five star hotel BUT clean and friendly and quiet. NOTE: Joseph that works in the breakfast area is a gem. Such a pleasant and wonderful individual that added to a nice stay.
Hotel elevator does not work. My husband has mobility issues and we had to walk to the other end of the hotel and up 2 flights of stairs! They wanted to put us either on the third floor…..which I had a fit about or in a double bed room instead of a king bed room….oh ya and there were just cleaned king rooms on the first floor!!!!!! So not up to Sleep Inn quality
