This Hampton Inn & Suites on Isle of Palms consistently receives positive feedback for its friendly and helpful staff, particularly during breakfast. While generally clean and well-located near shopping and restaurants, recent reviews highlight significant issues with water pressure and hot water, along with a concerning lack of responsiveness to guest needs regarding extended check-out times.
Haven’t stayed at a Hampton Inn is years. This facility and management may change my mind. Abby was great. The room is well maintained, well layed out
We stayed in a suite for 3 nights with a pet. The suite was wonderful and we had easy access to the outdoor area where we needed to to take our dog . There are restaurants and a Trader Joe's in walking distance to the hotel. The office staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were very pleased with the breakfast choices and with the close proximity to shopping and entertainment. Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend getaway.
Isabella was so sweet and pleasant serving us during the breakfast hours that she made my day. Definitely an asset to the kitchen and service staff. Location closer to the beach. Clean hotel.
I’ve stayed at this Hampton Inn twice now and can honestly say the rooms are average but the service is excellent! Specifically, the mattress in room 205 needs to be replaced. The king size bed has two large divots where people have slept in the same spot. I kept rolling into them while I was sleeping. It was so bad in fact, that I would inadvertently turn 90degrees in my sleep so that my body was laying where the pillows were. I didn’t get a restful night’s sleep the entire 4 night trip. The best part of the stay is the staff working the early morning breakfast shift. I remember seeing the same older lady both visits and she really shows the meaning of Southern Hospitality. It’s very comforting to have a conversation with her bright and early at 6AM while I’m still trying to wake up.
Stayed here end of October 2025. Hotel has very low water pressure and lukewarm hot water. Stayed three night and never got a hot shower which did not make for a relaxing stay. I did make management aware and they said it’s an issue with the water getting to the rooms and too many people using it. No solution or repair. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast has solid options and really friendly lady working most mornings. Location is great and in a shopping center with Trader Joe’s and a few good restaurants but if you want a hot shower, or more water pressure then a trickle, I would not recommend staying here. Not at all.
Excellent stay this week. Rooms were clean and well stocked. The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Shout out to Danielle, Juan, and Hector for helping me jump my suburban our first morning there. Saved us from having to get roadside invilved. Shout out to Isabelle the cook for our delicious breakfast each morning. Amazing staff that deserve a raise. Will stay here again for sure.
Very welcoming and warm staff. Older rooms but that perfect combination where it isn’t all brand new cheaper built things you might find in a new hotel. This is a quintessential Hampton Inn and despite being there on a completely full day, it wasnt too loud. The access to get here could be confusing if you aren’t familiar with the area because there are lots of entrances and exits to the town center.
Staff were such sweethearts. Some of the nicest workers ever. Breakfast was amazing. They had cereal, bagels, a drink machine, and they even had a create your own waffle station where you get to cook it yourself and add toppings. Other reviews mentioned the floor of the downstairs dining area falling apart, but they were brand new and looked great. Nothing bad about this place except for small things like when we got into our room the lamp was fallen over, and the pool was closed due to the season. It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. There wasn’t really anything special about the room, it was just a normal hotel room with beds, a bathroom, a desk, and things like a fridge, coffee maker, etc. the staff let us in without paying our prior fee, one employee at breakfast was so sweet and helpful. The hotel was also only about 8-10 minutes away from the beach which was nice. I would highly recommend!
Just finished a five days stay with my family while we played at Shipyard Park. Our stay was fantastic. Our room was clean, breakfast was great, and most of all, the staff was so helpful. We ran into a situation where we needed to have our luggage checked for an entire day, and potentially needed an additional night. Lila and Carrie were beyond accommodating during our mini crisis and made it a less stressful situation. All of the staff were friendly and this just added more comfort to our stay.Additionally , the hotel is located in a nice shopping plaza with no shortage of food options. Thanks for the great stay!
My plans had a quick change so I checked the room door for check out time and it was 12:00. I went to the desk thinking I could get a 1:00 check out and was told no, and that check out time is 11:00. I hoped to get an extra hour and ended up losing an hour, Please update the times on the doors. I checked out at 11:00 and went to the lobby / breakfast area and I asked which table would be OK to work and was told to go to the lobby even though most tables had already been cleaned. Now I am sitting on the edge of a sofa and can barely reach my keyboard on the coffee table. I reached Gold status with Hilton and get better accommodations at hotels I have no status. Please see that sometimes an extra hour and allowing use of unused tables help with needed. Room was good. People friendly just not willing to help.
