My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The location can’t be beat. We felt safe here and loved how everything was within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom soaps are luxury line. Evening sherry was provided in the lobby each night. Cheese and wine were also served each evening. Truly, this was a good stay. The only thing I felt might have been improved on was the breakfast. The do offer hard boiled eggs and yogurt but that’s it for protein. For the price, I felt sausage or bacon would be good. Overall, this was a great stay. The staff was nice. Parking garage is close by. Would definitely recommend to others.

I was looking for a place where I could do lots of walking as I wasn't going to have a car,and this place hit the spot. Great churches and historical homes nearby, as well as lots of eateries (Millers All Day...yum!). I booked a king bedroom as I was traveling solo and it was perfect. The included continental breakfast was just the right stuff to get me out the door for my early morning tours. For ladies traveling solo, I walked miles and never felt unsafe. I would definitely stay here agin.

Myself and other family members have stayed at King’s Courtyard on 3 separate visits to Charleston (over a 6 year period) . Our experience with each visit has been consistently positive and enjoyable. It is a quiet, peaceful, and welcoming hotel, with a lovely fountained courtyard. The rooms are clean and the location is very convenient. The personnel are always helpful and friendly. I have an upcoming trip to Charleston and have researched other accommodations, but none compare in cost and amenities to King’s Courtyard.

Absolutely would stay here again. Hotel has very unique character that distinguishes it from the big corporate hotels and the location is fantastic. Right in the middle of the historic district. We walked to everything throughout our trip. Parking was very easy. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly. Morning breakfast in the courtyard was great and loved the evening wine gathering. Highly recommend this hotel!

The Inn is extremely nice! It was our first visit to Charleston. We are so happy we chose to stay here. The bed is very comfortable. We’ll definitely stay here again. All of the staff is super nice from the front desk to the people serving breakfast and the evening wine and cheese. This is our new favorite place!!!

I stayed here with my daughter for a mom-daughter trip. The location is perfect and it truly is such a charming place to stay. We really enjoyed the free breakfast and wine and cheese hour. Just little touches that go a long way. Our room was gorgeous and so quiet. There are little courtyards to sit and enjoy. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Kings courtyard inn is a cozy hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston. Our room was clean, comfortable and customer service was friendly and helpful.The location is the best part with being in downtown alot of the museums, historical locations and the water are all in walking distance. Definitely recommend.

We recently stayed at this inn and had a bit of a mixed experience. The location is fantastic—convenient to everything and perfect for exploring the area. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. We also enjoyed the thoughtful touches like the wine and snacks offered at 5pm, as well as the evening sherry. Breakfast was another highlight; having a sit-down service rather than a buffet made it feel much more special and relaxing. Unfortunately, our room did not meet expectations. We had reserved a king room and were placed on the first floor in a space that felt quite disappointing. The carpet was dingy and worn—not the hardwood floors that had been advertised—and the windows appeared to be boarded or obstructed, leaving the room dark with virtually no natural light. It felt closed-in and far from the charming atmosphere we were expecting. What made this more frustrating was that our friends, who booked the same room type at the same rate, were given a beautiful, bright room with large windows and a lovely view. The inconsistency was hard to overlook. We ultimately stayed because we were traveling with two other couples, but we were not happy with the accommodations we received. With better room consistency, this inn could offer a truly wonderful experience.

The sightseeing in Charleston of course made wonderful memories for us, but paramount is truly our stay in The Kings Courtyard Inn. The two bedroom two bathroom king suite worked perfectly for our young family. Having a separate bedroom and bathroom for our kids while still having the security of it being within one single entrance was better than I could plan myself. With traditional hotel adjoining rooms, it makes me too anxious having our toddlers sleeping in a separate room with its own entrance because anything could happen. With the King’s suite, the entrance was located through our bedroom which made it feel so secure, I wasn’t worried in the slightest and slept great. Also, the storage and space in the room was more than adequate. I loved the quality, wood furniture pieces that felt modern and clean. The dining table was very nice to have and we loved that there were many extra chairs to sit in throughout the room. The room was so spacious that we were able to leave our huge double stroller along the wall in the room and it was not in the way. Our expectations were low for the in room light breakfast but we all ended up loving it. We found it far more classy than a continental breakfast and actually looked forward to it each morning, it was a great way to start the day with coffee and pastries in the room. The location of the Kings Courtyard could not be better and more central to the shops in the downtown area. Also, it was convenient for family we were visiting to meet us at the hotel because of the Target parking garage across the street. We have fond memories of our stay at the Kings Courtyard inn and look forward to our next trip back to Charleston and hope to book that same style room again.

A great place to stay. Great location in the heart of the peninsula. Beautiful rooms. Great service. We loved that the continental breakfast could be delivered to the room at no extra charge. Splurging for a room with a fireplace was worth it in January.
