The DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston is primarily known for its convenient location near the airport and shopping outlets, often praised for its comfortable beds and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight issues with cleanliness, particularly in bathrooms, and inconsistencies in service, with some guests experiencing problems with room conditions and breakfast offerings.

Bathroom had weird smell, Random fire alarm chirp at 3am woke us up, breakfast was not free, pool is closed, room was very dusty, and one elevator was broken while the working one was slow. Other than that the staff were very nice.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Charleston Airport International Blvd — Room 224 Stay: Sunday, February 15 I review on the metrics that matter to me — the rest can be quibbled over elsewhere. King bed: Comfy. No complaints. Solid sleep. Shower ?: Water pressure was mid. Hot water temperature range? Either “hottest” or “liquid lava.” No in-between. Towels: Scratchy… but absolutely ginormous. As a big, fat, old body, I appreciated the acreage. Splenda availability: Unicorn status while traveling. Grabbed hella for my girl. Major win. FREE airport shuttle: Appreciated, but comparatively slow. Build in buffer time. Overall: It handled the basics. Bed was good, coffee station hooked us up, shuttle got us there eventually. If you’re staying for proximity to the airport, it does the job.

This hotel is in a good spot. Very close to the Outlets and a Chili’s within walking distance. Can’t really beat that. Stayed here for two weeks and i truly had nothing to complain about. The restaurant/ bar downstairs serves a decent meal. The gym is small but efficient for the space. Not to mention pretty darn clean. The outdoors area is very peaceful for sitting and reading. The pool is a nice size as well. This location is right off the highway and there is plenty of parking as well that does not require a hike. Great spot for an extended stay!

First of all $400.00+ for two nights. Then we have four people staying in a two queen room, once we get to our room we have three towels. This happens every time. They offer a "free" breakfast but if you have to leave before 7AM (like we did for volleyball tournament) you DON'T GET A BREAKFAST! And the front desk just has a "oh well" attitude. When they came to service the room they took ALL the towels and left TWO new ones, didn't restock any of the coffee stuff. So once again we have to go to the front desk and get to talk to Miss "Personality". So to management, we won't stay here again and I don't want your excuses.... just do better!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place and would highly recommend staying here. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our first visit to Charleston. Aside from the obvious great location to the Charleston airport and outlet shopping center, and the cleanliness and niceness of the rooms, I am truly writing this review because of the staff. Not only were they welcoming and kind to use during our stay - offering lots of warm chocolate chip cookies - but this staff went above and beyond for us in a very cool way, even after our stay. My husband held his arm out to prevent the elevator door from closing on a mom with a newborn and a young toddler, which resulted in the bracelet he was wearing to fall down the elevator shaft. This wasn't just any bracelet - it was hand-made for him by a Hawaiian local during our wedding in Honolulu earlier this year (I have a matching one). We thought it was gone forever. We understood the chances were very slim, but we spoke with the front desk and asked if their maintenance look for the bracelet during their next servicing. They told us they couldn't promise anything, and we understood. To our surprise, a week and a half later, I received a call from Shiela letting me know they had found it! She took care to ask me to identify the bracelet to make sure it was ours and get it shipped back to us in Washington State. From two Seattle-lites thinking of relocating to Charleston (the reason for our visit), this proves what kindness and hospitality exists in this city. After our two nights here, we relocated to a hotel on the waterfront for the rest of our trip. We were far more impressed with our stay at DoubleTree than we were with the expensive waterfront resort. Thank you so much, DoubleTree! - Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

Its close to the airport which is good. A bit hard to find at first. Room is ok very quiet, bathroom is clean and the room have coffee machine and refrigerator. Downstairs has gym and food bar you can buy food if you are hungry and I think breakfast is like $20 may need to ask if you want breakfast. Parking lot is right in front which is very nice and easy. They also gave you a cookie when you check in.

Great location near the airport. Ladies in the restaurant provide super service. Rooms are starting to get dates, a little dark and I had a hard time with getting the air to come on to cool.

I use to love this location. Came down for a hospital stay, but was sadly disappointed. Rooms were less than up to par. Had to be switched to another room. (First room had smelled awful, like someone had been smoking in it). The room I was moved into, the shower door wouldn't close, so you couldn't use the restroom properly. I didn't even attempt to contact someone... Just disappointed.

It’s a really good hotel. I stay here often on business. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is great. The people that work in the restaurant and at the bar, very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the people at the front desk have the wrong hospitality attitude and should be in a different business Business. I think that’s a reflection on the management and the lack of training and putting the right people in the right position.

This hotel has seen better days. the bathroom floors in my room are dirty, the bathroom mirror light is only half working and the shower leaks and is rotting the wooded door frame. On top of all of this, the credit card that used at check in at the front desk was hacked by someone at the front desk and bogus charges have been racked up on that card. I know this for certain because I rarely use that card and hadn't used it for weeks. All was good till I used it at this hotel. The only good thing I can say is that it is close to the meetings I'm attending.
