The Pinch offers a charming and luxurious stay in the heart of Charleston, praised for its beautiful design, attentive service, and convenient location on King Street. Guests consistently highlight the warm hospitality and thoughtful details, creating a memorable and comfortable experience. Several reviewers rave about the excellent restaurant, Lowland, and the helpful concierge team.
The Pinch had a lot of charm and the decor was appealing. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was located right off King St. and we were able to walk everywhere. I loved the bar and bath amenities. The breakfast was limited, but had great pastries. They offered cruiser bikes for us to use that gave us the opportunity to explore further from the hotel. The bikes could definitely use tune-ups (which always seems to be the case at hotels with cruiser bikes). We would definitely stay again. The restaurant,Lowland, across the alley was phenomenal. Do not miss going there.
We had a wonderful stay at The Pinch! I chose it for a surprise proposal weekend, and the team was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, assisting with restaurant reservations, excursions, a photographer, and a florist. The room was beautiful, the service was exceptional, and there were thoughtful touches throughout our stay. We also had a fantastic meal at Lowland. I’d highly recommend The Pinch to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Charleston.
From the moment I arrived at The Pinch, I knew I had chosen the perfect place to stay. Every member of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout my visit. Their hospitality made me feel less like a guest and more like I was being welcomed into someone’s beautiful home. I was fortunate to receive a room upgrade, and my suite was absolutely stunning. Every detail felt intentional and thoughtfully designed, from the beautiful furnishings and luxurious finishes to the little touches that made each day feel special. Each evening I returned to turned-down sheets, slippers placed neatly beside my bed, and a sweet chocolate waiting for me. It was clear that the staff took great pride in ensuring every detail of my stay was perfect. One of my favorite things about The Pinch is its location. While it’s just steps from the energy and charm of King Street, it’s tucked away enough that my room was incredibly peaceful. After spending the day exploring Charleston, it was wonderful to come back to such a quiet, relaxing retreat. The entire property is beautifully curated, and you can tell an incredible amount of thought and care went into every aspect of the experience. If you’re considering a stay in Charleston, don’t hesitate for a second, book The Pinch. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.
The Pinch was the perfect hotel for our vacation to Charleston. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with a terrace and it was incredible. We brought our 3 kids and my parents and it was great. The suite was clean and the staff was great. Our kids loved the hotel. We appreciated how accommodating the hotel was for kids. I highly recommend if you have children as they are welcomed and encouraged. Thanks Pinch Staff ?
Fantastic experience from beginning to end. We arrived on an early flight and the staff were so warm and welcoming. Stored our bags and headed out with a list of great recommendations from Carrie Ellis(sp?). We were even welcomed to have breakfast even though we had not yet checked in which was so welcome after traveling. We were upgraded to an amazing suite that was like a full apartment with all amenities you could possibly need. Lowland is the restaurant at the hotel. Amazing food, cocktails, staff. Natasha, our waitress and Henry our bartender made our experience so memorable. Gave us more great recommendations which we found extremely helpful. This hotel is so centrally located; steps to anything you could possibly need or want. Bikes are super handy to get around. Highly recommend this hotel, we will be back.
Loved everything about our recent stay. The hotel is quiet with only a handful of rooms compared to the hustle and bustle of other high end and larger hotels nearby. Very thoughtful details in the rooms with kitchen amenities, washer/dryer, robe/slippers and instructions for everything. Location was great! We walked everywhere in downtown Charleston. Also appreciate that there are various room layouts to choose from. We stayed in a King studio with balcony. The Light breakfast offered in the mornings was a nice touch. Would recommend and stay again.
The Pinch was a bet that I am so glad I made! We were looking for a smaller boutique hotel for our stay in Charleston, and I booked on a whim. The location was amazing, so walkable to everything on King Street and surrounding areas. The hotel itself had beautiful interior design and thoughtful touches. We received a lovely handwritten note when we arrived, along with a delicious welcome grapefruit cocktail. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved having a kitchenette to make tea at night, but could have easily made a meal there if we wanted! The bathrooms were stocked with Aesop products, which were luxe. My husband appreciated the turn down service in the evening - complete with a lavender chocolate and white noise machine! The little details is what made this place special. We would love to return. Thank you to The Pinch for making our stay in Charleston so special!
We had a wonderful stay at The Pinch for my bachelorette trip. The two bedroom suite was beautiful and provided more than enough space for gathering with my friends and family. The front desk and valet staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast pastries are phenomenal. We could walk from our hotel to almost all of the restaurants and activities we had booked. We definitely hope to return soon!!
We had a wonderful time at The Pinch! Centrally located to everywhere you need to and want to be downtown. It’s quaint and more a boutique style hotel, maximum occupancy is 24 rooms. The space is so comfortable. What really impressed us was the service. Housekeeping comes 2x a day to refill waters, straighten up the room and each time the attention to detail exceeded our expectations - from how they organized our luggages, laid out our slippers, re-organized things we left out on the counter - it was so thoughtful and the team truly goes above and beyond. They have a restaurant Lowland across the street that was great and if you want a bar setting to hang out at in the evenings you can go there or the the bar attached to the lobby called The Quinte. Would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
?????????? This Charleston hotel truly exceeded expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and incredibly quiet—an absolute pleasure to come back to after a day exploring the city. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality furnishings to the small touches that made the stay effortless and comfortable. The property is well-appointed throughout, elegant without feeling stuffy, and clearly designed with guests in mind. A wonderful stay all around, and I will definitely return!
