The Pinch offers a luxurious and uniquely designed boutique hotel experience in the heart of Charleston. Guests consistently praise its beautiful interiors, walkable location, attentive service, and thoughtful amenities like a kitchenette and welcome cocktails. While some recent reviews mention minor operational details, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive.
The Pinch was a bet that I am so glad I made! We were looking for a smaller boutique hotel for our stay in Charleston, and I booked on a whim. The location was amazing, so walkable to everything on King Street and surrounding areas. The hotel itself had beautiful interior design and thoughtful touches. We received a lovely handwritten note when we arrived, along with a delicious welcome grapefruit cocktail. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved having a kitchenette to make tea at night, but could have easily made a meal there if we wanted! The bathrooms were stocked with Aesop products, which were luxe. My husband appreciated the turn down service in the evening - complete with a lavender chocolate and white noise machine! The little details is what made this place special. We would love to return. Thank you to The Pinch for making our stay in Charleston so special!
We had a wonderful stay at The Pinch for my bachelorette trip. The two bedroom suite was beautiful and provided more than enough space for gathering with my friends and family. The front desk and valet staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast pastries are phenomenal. We could walk from our hotel to almost all of the restaurants and activities we had booked. We definitely hope to return soon!!
We had a wonderful time at The Pinch! Centrally located to everywhere you need to and want to be downtown. It’s quaint and more a boutique style hotel, maximum occupancy is 24 rooms. The space is so comfortable. What really impressed us was the service. Housekeeping comes 2x a day to refill waters, straighten up the room and each time the attention to detail exceeded our expectations - from how they organized our luggages, laid out our slippers, re-organized things we left out on the counter - it was so thoughtful and the team truly goes above and beyond. They have a restaurant Lowland across the street that was great and if you want a bar setting to hang out at in the evenings you can go there or the the bar attached to the lobby called The Quinte. Would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
?????????? This Charleston hotel truly exceeded expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and incredibly quiet—an absolute pleasure to come back to after a day exploring the city. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality furnishings to the small touches that made the stay effortless and comfortable. The property is well-appointed throughout, elegant without feeling stuffy, and clearly designed with guests in mind. A wonderful stay all around, and I will definitely return!
The Pinch exceeded our expectations in every way. From the cleanliness and thoughtful turndown service - to the warm, attentive staff. Every element of our stay felt intentional and refined. Our room was quiet, with easily adjustable temperature controls, a sound machine for sleeping comfort, and freshly ground coffee that we enjoyed sipping on our balcony each morning. The free breakfast was tasty and convenient; the only small suggestion would be an option to warm the mini quiches. The onsite restaurant (Lowland) was excellent, offering outstanding food and a wonderful ambiance. The hotel’s location also made it easy to enjoy some truly great shopping nearby. The Pinch perfectly balances luxury and comfort, and we will definitely be back.
Overall, we had a great stay in the townhouse at the pinch! A few minor notes to be aware of if you are staying in the townhouse: 1. You do have to access through the front of the Lowland restaurant 2. You may hear restaurant patrons in the evening below you (sometimes it sounds like they're right outside your door due to it being an old house & sound traveling). 3. Valet did tend to take a while. However, it is a super cool place to stay in. It felt like staying in an Airbnb, but with hotel accommodations (house cleaning, valet service, etc.). It is in a great location, walkable to everything around King St.! They also provided complimentary breakfast each morning with really great food options & healthy brands! Would definitely stay again!
We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at The Pinch in downtown Charleston, and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, everything about this boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed, complete with a full kitchen that made us feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, blending modern luxury with Charleston’s charm. The location is a foodie’s dream! We spent our days wandering the scenic streets of downtown, indulging in Charleston’s incredible dining scene, sipping cocktails, and shopping in the charming boutiques—all just steps from the hotel. The concierge service was exceptional, going above and beyond to secure reservations at our favorite restaurants and suggesting hidden gems we hadn’t tried yet. Their recommendations elevated our culinary adventure! We also dined at Lowland, the on-property restaurant, and it was a highlight of our trip—absolutely superb food and impeccable service. The Pinch truly made our Charleston experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a luxurious, perfectly located stay with top-notch service, this is the place to be. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Great location, friendly staff, and well appointed rooms. My husband and I loved the bed so much that we napped each day we were there. Can't beat the location if you're doing the typical Charleston tourist stuff like shopping King St. and walking down to the battery/White Point Gardens. This place felt more like coming home at the end of the night rather than staying at a big hotel. Highly recommend!
I had such a great experience staying at this hotel! The hotel itself was a nice spot in a convenient location. It had all the little touches that made our stay enjoyable. A special shoutout to Sarah at the front desk, she was absolutely amazing! So sweet, helpful, and genuinely kind. Overall, a great stay, I’d definitely come back!
Charleston is an incredibly cute, clean and beautiful city. The Pinch is located right in the heart of the city. All the staff were very friendly and the room was awesome and cozy. We slept great. A great selection of drinks and food were in the room. Every day they cleaned the room and refilled the mini bar. For some reason in many nice hotels theynever refill the mini bar except upon request and then they still never do. I don’t know why. So I was happy about this was not a problem here. The restaurant on site was good. Especially the quail and the gimlets. I would highly recommend staying here if you come to Charleston.
