This was one of our favorite stays we’ve ever had. We chose this hotel for our post engagement stay and we were blown away. They even hosted our family and friends in their Bar Daniel Courtyard and arranged a champagne toast for when we walked out on the balcony and saw our loved ones below. They were friendly and kind. The food and drinks were up to standard. We travel for work and stay in hotels more than our own house and we were very pleased. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay incredible.

Easily the nicest hotel I have stayed in given both the price and location. Truly excellent. My feedback would be to staff the Daniel bar more often as its the ideal location to "hang out" with friends. When I stayed at the hotel, the central "general area" was not too noisy. But I imagine it could be during peak season. If I come back to Charleston, I would come back to this hotel in particular.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Amber, the lady at the front desk was a warm and wonderful host as we passed through the lobby for the 3 days. I had booked reservations at a hotel nearby for a similar price (the meeting inn, terrible hotel) and felt very fortunate the Nickel had a balcony room for us looking out over the courtyard for the dates I needed. If you’re looking for a getaway in Charleston, this is the place to stay. Warm staff, wonderful accommodations, gorgeous rooms, and a human touch to show they care about your experience.

I can't say enough about The Nickel. Beautiful rooms, great attention to detail (love the steamer and the hamper), amazing service, fresh ground coffee in the room, morning coffee and tea at the courtyard on the 2nd floor and a rooftop bar with stunning views. All of the staff is excellent and a special call out to Amber, who makes it feel like I'm coming home after a busy day in the office - she's the best! Absolutely one of the nicest places to stay in Charleston.

We had an excellent experience here! Had such a fun time chatting with our bartender, Lorraine. She was knowledgeable & the cocktails were superb. Will definitely be returning!

Great experience all around. The staff was fantastic. The rooms were really nice and has a kitchen, steamer, and a washer and dryer. All the rooms open to a courtyard. The rooftop bar has a great vibe and location is right in the middle of everything. Loved our stay i would highly recommend.

Literally cannot say enough good things about this place. Truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Needed somewhere for a last minute hotel for an overnight girls trip. Found this place online, and I’m so glad I did. It’s in the heart of Charleston next to all the best spots. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!! 10000000000000000/10!

First time staying here and we loved it! We’re local here in Charleston and stayed overnight for New Year’s. The rooms are large and well appointed; the rooftop bar area and 2d floor lounge are fantastic. We also liked the good and reasonably priced selection of snacks and drinks in the room. Customer service is top notch. And kudos to whoever decided no carpet in the rooms—bravo. They invested in high quality windows facing King St that kept it very quiet in the room. Can’t say enough good things about it. Tip: great public parking is nearby so don’t opt for valet. We’re glad we got in at a reasonable introductory rate because the price on this will skyrocket soon. Pound-for-pound, the best hotel in town.

Our stay at Hotel Nickel in Charleston, South Carolina was nothing short of exceptional. Alana at the front desk and Ty, the bellhop, went far beyond outstanding service. Their personal touches, warmth, and attentiveness turned our visit into something truly memorable. Over the course of our stay, what began as excellent hospitality grew into a genuine sense of friendship. They made us feel completely at home, anticipated our needs, and brought so much heart to everything they did. The entire experience felt surreal in the best way—rare attention to detail, sincere kindness, and a level of care that’s increasingly hard to find. Hotel Nickel is a gem, and Alana and Ty are absolute stars. We will absolutely return and recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone visiting Charleston. A truly unforgettable stay.

Absolutely incredible stay! The hotel was spotless and comfortable, but what really made it stand out was the amazing staff. From check-in to check-out, every single person we encountered went out of their way to be friendly, helpful, and genuine. You can tell they take pride in making guests feel welcome.
