I called a week and 24 hours before my stay and asked how the shuttle from the airport works. Both times I was told that “when your plane lands. Just call us and we’ll send the shuttle over for you. It’s active 24 hours a day.” I thought how great! I landed yesterday at 7pm, called for the shuttle only to be told “you didn’t reserve a shuttle ride. But we’ll send you a Lyft”. (I was not charged for the Lyft which I appreciated). But the Lyft driver stopped way down at the other end of the airport pick up (literally drove by us - he saw us and signaled us to follow him so we ended up running behind the car with our luggage). We checked in online and that went smoothly. The room was fine-although there was no pad of paper available so that I could leave a thank you note along with the tip for room service. There was a tear in the curtains and there wasn’t a trash in the bathroom. I did like the shower! My experience at other Hilton’s (in different countries and different varieties) is that the floor gets wet during my showers-idk why. This shower actually didn’t! I came out and the floor was spotless! I was so happy that I didn’t have to mop! The television was a little outdated (didn’t have the option to log into streaming service). I could hear people in the room next to me. The breakfast wasn’t to my liking. I saw other guests enjoying it and I will admit that I’m a picky eater. I got a bagel but I couldn’t put cream cheese or jam on it because they didn’t have the individual packets. Instead they were in big containers with no tops-and one knife per container for everyone to share. That’s gross to me. The staff were nice and polite though. I just think that their manager needs to go over what the protocols are about the shuttle to them.

Amazing location and staff. The hotel seems a bit dated but the rooms are very spacious. It has the typical hotel breakfazt but with a few extras like chia pudding or overnight oats. We would stay again if we are in the area. Coming back to say we wouldn't stay here again as we can smell people smoking weed in the rooms and it smells like it out in the hallway. Absolutely disgusting.

Before I book anything, I check as many reviews on different sites as I can just to be informed and if it's worth it. I was so impressed with Hilton with this Homewood Suites that I couldn't wait to post a review. I encountered one pretty major issue, which I won't mention because it was fixed in a flash. I mean they were on it from beginning to end, it was handled VERY professional and efficiently. If I could have afforded it, I would have tipped every one of the staff. They were on top on their game. They all looked and presented in a professional, polite manner. The breakfast was your normal hot breakfast which they tried to vary it up a bit. No complaints there. The Wednesday social food was really good. Surprisingly, it was a full meal. I don't drink so can't comment on that part. The room was small to average but not compact. There was plenty of space and it was cleaned better than I thought it would be, so hats off to the housekeeping staff. The beds were comfortable and we were able to relax. I would definitely recommend and go back. It was worth it.

Our hotel room was clean and very nice. Staff was very nice and professional. Breakfast looked good. Had a variety of options from cereal, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, juice, and a small hot bar with sausage, eggs, etc. Parking is limited and cost $25 a night but the cost of the quality of the room was reasonable so we felt that it balanced out the cost. They even have a restaurant and bar onsite. Would recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

This location is around the corner from Tanger Outlets and Interstates that will take you into downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, or North Charleston within minutes. The decor of the hotel greets you with a touch of southern charm and an appreciation of various historic cultures. Upon check in, the hotel staff at the desk was pleasant; but didn't direct us to the elevator or talk about the "social hour" until I asked about the many people dining at tables, despite not seeing a restaurant on site. It's all included in your stay and runs from 5 -7 pm. The suite has two thermostats to help ensure the comfort of guests in the various rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stays in or near Charleston, SC!

Safety fail. Nice place to squirt shampoo in your eyes with the strategically placed shampoo and conditioner bottles! Glad it was no tears! Very nice staff. Decent location near airport and Walmart/Sam's Club. Got to buy groceries to stock the fridge. Good place to cook your own meals, or just make a nice snack.

My family and I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport for 6 nights due to a plumbing emergency in our home. What should have been a safe place for our young children turned into a stressful and demeaning experience. When we arrived, there was an issue with our landlord’s credit card authorization for incidentals. While that wasn’t Hilton’s fault, we were forced to wait over 40 minutes in the lobby with a 19-month-old and 5-month-old—with zero compassion or assistance from the front desk staff, who were visibly annoyed at our presence the entire time. Eventually, we received our room key. The room was located downstairs, directly down the hallway from reception. After being in the room for just a few minutes, my wife brought the children back from the pool and was changing our infant son when our toddler unexpectedly opened the hotel room door and stepped into the hallway—a first-time occurrence. I noticed immediately and ran after her. Within seconds, I found that the receptionist had taken my daughter behind the front desk, called her a “lost baby,” and was treating the situation as if I were a stranger. When I calmly identified myself, she looked at me with suspicion and said, “If this happens again, I will have to call Child Protective Services.” This was deeply offensive, inappropriate, and completely unjustified. The same receptionist had seen us with our children all day. There was no concern, no empathy—only judgment and threats. If this is how Hilton trains its staff to treat families—especially those dealing with stressful emergency situations—then it’s not a family-friendly brand. We planned a 6 night stay, but I would never stay here again, and I urge other families to think twice.

Really nice experience. My only criticisms are that the hotel is showing its age a bit and could use a refresh. Also, they only do dinner on Wednesdays which was disappointing as I am used to them having something every weeknight. My room was clean and in good condition. For those concerned about jet noise, don't be. I never noticed any noise from the airport. Area is really nice around it too with plenty of shopping and food choices. Staff is very accommodating.

We arrived after driving 12 hrs from NY we were greeted with a smile and friendly staff. The room was exceptional! My husband loved the pillows so much I contacted the hotel and Cynthia assisted me by sending me pictures of all the pillows labels! I found the pillow and ordered it for Father’s Day. The location has walking distance restaurants. My sister stayed next door at a different Hilton and they had an endless supply of bottled water available… here you just had to ask. The room was very clean and the kitchen was more than I’ve seen in other hotels.

It has been a little while since we have stayed at this Homewood Suites, but I recall that we had no problems at the hotel. The staff was friendly, and very informative. Our room was clean. The thing that I personally remembered, was that the hotel was near a local airport. If I remember correctly, it was military planes that flew frequently. I believe that they probably held pilot training at the airport. I, personally, loved watching the planes take off. For me, it may have been the highlight of my stay at the hotel.
