My sister and I stayed here a few weeks ago and had an amazing time! This inn is located in the perfect spot on King Street. It's less than 5 minutes to the City Market where we spent a lot of time. There are lots of cute shops nearby on King St...a few faves were Grit & Grace Studio and Sweeter Than Fiction bookshop. Target is half a block away for any necessities. And it's an easy walk up and down King St for shopping and eating. It was so easy to pop into our room for a quick rest or to drop off some bags during the day. The room was so clean and cozy. Super comfy beds. Great toiletries. Loved having a sound machine as well. There's also a water-filling station near the ice machine The breakfast service was such a nice touch. Bread and pastries always arrived warm. Lower-carb options were Greek yogurt or a hard boiled egg. The service was great too! Everyone was friendly and kind. We loved Abby so much! She always had a smile and was so helpful. Yes, lodging near King Street is always going to be pricey but this is the best place to stay that isn't overly expensive. It's clean, conveniently located, charming, and has great service. What more could you ask for? I would definitely stay here again!
I absolutely loved this inn — the best place to stay in Charleston! The location can’t be beat, and the inn itself is so charming and really enhanced my stay in the city. It’s close to everything, very walkable, and the rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed and more. One of my favorite perks was the customizable complimentary breakfast delivered right to my room every morning — I didn’t even realize how much I would love that touch! The staff was incredibly friendly, and I had an amazing stay from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Great historic Hotel/Bed n Breakfast right downtown on the main road King Street. They also have parking available which is an issue in Charleston. Everyone that worked there was great, room was clean and well kept. You can walk anywhere from the hotel and they help you as much as they can.. Food is varied and good, city history is very interesting and it has a lot of youth and great restaurants. I highly recommend, would definitely stay there again
Our stay at Fulton Lane Inn was fantastic. The morning breakfast delivered to the room was a perfect way to start the day. The room was clean and comfortable and all of the workers we encountered from the front desk to the hallways were friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect right off of King St so everything we wanted to do and see in the heart of Charleston was within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again if/when we return.
It was a bit of a challenge to unload and load, especially as the Inn would not answer the phone to answer our question about that. So we parked on the street and went in to find out only to be kept waiting while the staff person stayed on the phone. But the room was spacious and very clean. Bed very comfortable and the delivered breakfast was stellar. It’s very walkable to a lot of restaurants, shopping and activities.
Just a lovely place and value for the money. Lovely touches like sherry in the evening and genuinely kind and helpful front-desk staff. A beautiful place in good repair, comfy, well appointed beds. Luxury at a reasonable price in the French Quarter.
Fulton Lane Inn is in a great location to walk just about anywhere! The room are nice and ours had a big bathroom, very small kitchen with a little walkway between the bathroom and bedroom. Continental Breakfast is nice and they alway call you to let you know it's on it's way and almost always early. Only issue I could say is they didn't seem to look into the kitchen area. There can be some noise from the street.
We had such a great experience at the Fulton Lane Inn; the front desk staff and everyone we encountered was professional, so kind, helpful and flexible. We had to add nights because of the winter storm, and they helped us out, offered us tea and help with reservations, and went above and beyond. The breakfast was very good (get the assorted pastries!!) and the coffee was the best hotel coffee I’ve had! Prices were reasonable and location was just off King Street and so convenient for visiting the Market. We will definitely stay again if in Charleston!
Fulton Lane Inn is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Charleston. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the historic district and within easy walking distance of all the major historic sites, shops, and restaurants. You truly feel immersed in Charleston from the moment you step outside. The Inn itself is charming and full of character, with a historic feel that makes it seem like you’re living in a different century. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the continental breakfast delivered to your room at your chosen time was a lovely touch and a great way to start the day. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone wanting an authentic and convenient Charleston experience.
Beware of construction starting in the parking lot they recently sold to the city. Construction started yesterday and woke us at 750a. Get a room on king street side. Parking garage is close but the elevator was broke when we checked in and the old lot is baracaded off. Google maps takes you to king st, and there is nowhere to stop and unload bags. Horrible experience trying to get bags down 5 flights of stairs. We enjoyed the breakfast delivered to our room and how large the 1 bedroom suite we had. Bed was a little firm and noisy and pillows all the same and too thick. AC could not be lowered below 68 so it's a bit warm even when it's cold out. Wine hour was OK, not enough tables, people hoarding the crackers an cheese. Wine was fair but we got over it and went out to prettier lobby bars at other hotels. These properties feel like tired b and b's but are a great value for big rooms and prime location. Staff was friendly and helpful other than not alerting us ahead about the garage elevator and construction starting.
