Perfect for both business and leisure travelers, the hotel provides comfort and value in a central location.
The Fairfield Inn Charleston North/Ashley Phosphate receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the friendly staff and comfortable rooms, while others report cleanliness issues, safety concerns due to the surrounding area, and operational problems like hot water shortages and flickering lights. Recent positive feedback highlights exceptional customer service and a well-maintained property, but negative experiences detail issues such as persistent problems and a questionable location.
I was a bit apprehensive staying here with a 3.9 review score and the negative reviews people posted. Well...I have no idea where they all stayed because my wife and I LOVED this hotel. Erica at the front desk took such good care of us and was so friendly. The manager was really nice and asked us how things were each day. The room was so cozy and we slept so good. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in a while with so many condiments and toppings to enhance the meal. The whole week we were there was wonderful! Do yourself a favor and reserve a night or two at this Fairfield Inn. A great hotel that went the extra mile to make our stay a happy one! P.S. Great ice as well!!
I knew when this was like $50 less than the comparable hotels that there was probably a reason. This hotel is not up to the typical Fairfield standard. My son was taking a bath and removing "the gross stuff" with a cup. Made him get up and take a shower. Beds are old and tired. Service was fine, breakfast was fine, it's say generally as expected. I'd suggest spending a few extra bucks if you can hack it.
Great location to get my destination. Room was clean and spacious. Only stayed one night but very quiet and comfortable. Open parking lot with plenty of spaces. I was not concerned with vandalism or anything like that. Didnt get a chance to eat breakfast but I believe it was worth experiencing. 8.7 out of 10.
This hotel had the best front desk workers ever. I can’t remember the managers name but she treated my brother and I like we were her own when there was troubles with our reservations per USAA. Her cousin as well was always so much help and incredibly friendly. The workers here have genuine care for their costumers! The rooms were great and the hotel was near so many restaurants with only a 20 minute drive to Charleston. When we visit Charleston we will definitely be staying here again. Thanks again for all your help!
The water in the shower was reversed, so at first no hot water, had to warn my daughter. The rooms are nice, the walls are kind of thin.
Pros: the people at the front desk are friendly, beds and pillows are comfortable, rooms are clean, reasonably priced. Internet was good and always accessible. Cons: poor sound proofing, can hear everything from the next room and the hallways. Ran out of hot water for showering on both the Friday night and the Saturday morning. We did not try the breakfast. For the price we paid (~$100 a night) it was a good value with the included breakfast. But I would personally pay a little extra and stay elsewhere next time in the area.
Got in late for a work trip. Fire alarm went off three times, hotel staff knocked on the door and called the room even though I requested a late checkout. The is by far the worse Marriott I've been to, and I will never return.
This place looks nice when you walk in, but the service & cleanliness is awful. Our room had dirty shower walls, the door didnt shut all the way, the milk being served at breakfast was past the expiration date. We had no hot water & the mattress was not only a queen aize on a king frame, it was so hard I couldn't sleep due to it being sunken in the middle & feeling like we were laying on plywood board. This place is nothing like what we are used to from a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. It is more like a Red Roof Inn.
This hotel is in poor condition. It's advertised as "newly renovated" and it is not. The hotel looks and smells dated. There are tiles missing in the bathroom, popcorn ceiling, and the location overall is unsafe. This hotel is located right next to an Econo Lodge, and there were loud guests there fighting in the parking lot at 11pm at night. The overnight front desk staff will only speak if you do. Overall, this was a very poor hotel stay, and I would not recommend it for a family, especially for the room rate. My family and I are military and travel all the time. Spend your money elsewhere.
This has been the absolute best customer service and the kindest staff at any hotel I've ever stayed at. They have been so willing to help the guests and me out with anything that they are able to. I don't know everyone's name but from the managers to the cleaning ladies, front desk is amazing!!!! Renee, Erica, Tray, Lawrence, Ari, Kelly, are Awesome!!! The breakfast is outstanding because of Faith not only can she cook, but she is very kind and helpful all the time!!! Staying here with this amazing group of people, I promise you will not be dissapointed! Thank you!!
