The SpringHill Suites Charleston Airport & Convention Center consistently receives positive feedback regarding its staff, cleanliness, and convenient location near the airport and attractions. However, recent reviews highlight potential issues with inconsistent customer service and concerning room conditions, including insect infestations and uncomfortable beds.
Absolutely terrible customer service. I called the hotel one day with questions about my stay and received one answer. When I called back the next day for clarification, a different employee told me something completely different. Naturally, I was confused and simply wanted a clear answer. Once Ebony, the assistant manager, got on the phone, the conversation became shockingly unprofessional. She spoke in a hostile and condescending tone, yelled at me for several minutes, rudely hung up on me, and told me to stop calling. She even stated, "It is your fault for calling again," and told me I would not be allowed to stay. She then suggested I find an inn somewhere else. Throughout the entire interaction, I remained calm and respectful. I was only trying to understand why I was being given conflicting information by hotel staff. Instead of helping, the assistant manager blamed me for the hotels miscommunication and berated a potential guest. I should not be punished for calling back to clarify information that your own employees could not provide consistently. This experience was completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the hotel's management. It's shocking that someone in a management position would treat guests this way. If this is how the hotel handles customer concerns, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
????? We stayed at SpringHill Suites Airport North Charleston for four nights and had an exceptional experience. What stood out most was the staff. Every single employee we encountered—from guest services to housekeeping to the breakfast team—was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. We didn’t get everyone’s names, but the outstanding service was consistent throughout our entire stay. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality across an entire hotel staff. The hotel was also exceptionally clean. Our room was not only visually spotless when we arrived, but it felt clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Even with minimal interaction with housekeeping, it was obvious they take great pride in their work. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, well prepared, and consistently stocked each morning. While it was a standard hotel breakfast buffet, the quality and attention to detail made it stand out. We’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was, without question, the best overall service we’ve ever received. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend SpringHill Suites Airport North Charleston to anyone visiting the area.
* Also I had 2 different credit cards charged for the room that was booked through my Marriott app- still waiting on hotel to send me paperwork * Checked in and staff was rude. Went to dinner came back absolutely no parking available. Had to park on the street- called for a late check out and was told no. Fridge in room was hot and you couldn’t adjust the temperature of the room. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I be staying here again.
No respect for service members at this location. With all the stuff going on in the Middle East, finding the right time for planes to take off has been rough. I booked for 3/8 for departure on 3/9 and everything got moved. I never checked into either of the two rooms booked. I was told due to hotel policy no matter the situation I have to pay full price for both rooms that I did not stay in & no help for finding new rooms. This has made an already tough situation even tougher. I am so glad that money is more important to this Marriott location than service members safety. As a platinum member who only stays at Marriott this was a slap in the face experience so something out of my control.
Lovely place. Pat checked us in. She was so kind and quickly checked us in. The place is clean. The room was spacious. The breakfast was great. Parking spots are a little tight but I didn’t pull around back so perhaps a little larger there. I’m in a small truck this trip and it was snug. The ladies restroom was prepared for ladies and for that I’m grateful. Wonderful experience. Felt safe. Good amenities.
I had a great experience at SpringHill Suites in Charleston. The hotel was exceptionally clean (& I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness) from the lobby to the rooms, which made my stay really comfortable. My room was spotless, well-organized, and clearly well cared for. The location was also perfect...close to everything I needed, which made getting around super convenient. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Antonio and Joseph were both incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. There was also a wonderful lady at the front desk who assisted me with my room, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The entire team made me feel valued and taken care of. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the North Charleston area
The bathroom door was AWFUL. It sits at the foot of the beds and had a frosted glass door so if you use it at night it lights up the whole room and wakes people up. Horrible design. Not sure who thought this was a good idea. Other than that it's easy to get to, walking distance to the coliseum, good parking, clean room, super quick drive to the highway/airport/Tanger, helpful staff. Would stay here again without hesitation, just planning to bring something to cover up that glass.
Wonderful stay with excellent customer service. The staff was friendly and caring with the added bonus of actual follow through as needed. We had an issue and the front desk handled it immediately!!! Very impressive customer care. Thank you ?? see ya'll in March.
Springhill suites has been my preferred choice. This location was a last minute booking on a road trip. Great stay thanks to amazing staff. Antoine at check-in was kind, informative, and made a great first impression. Margaret at breakfast was warm, engaging, and incredibly attentive to every family. Rooms were clean, comfty beds, designated work station and access to the gym was a plus! Outstanding service all around. Thank you!
I have similar complaints as many others had. Ac temperature was weird all of a sudden it was so hot in middle of the night. Not trash bags in the garbage can. Tv remote didn’t work properly. Appliances was clean though. Staff is rude almost every one. Breakfast is not impressive as I thought it would be. Everytime I checked for coffee (other than breakfast) it was cold. I asked the person for hot water to make tea she gave me warm water probably from the tap. I posted my river before too but I think it was deleted? Idk but I hope this stays. One person was nice the young lady she was white with curly hair don’t know her name.
