The Seaside Inn offers an oceanfront location and direct beach access, praised for its convenient location and comfortable rooms. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding noise levels, cleanliness issues, parking difficulties, and inconsistent service.

This is our second year staying here for thanksgiving, we love coming to sea side inn. Staff is extremely nice and the location is awesome. Coconut Joes is a high recommendation. Area is very active at night but hotel is quiet which is a plus. Very dog friendly and easy to walk dogs around property/beach access. Thanks Angel and Phoenix for the awesome customer service!! :)

Our first and LAST stay here. AVOID if you are looking for a family friendly, peaceful and quiet place. I gave 1 star ONLY for the beach location BUT the bar next door was disturbing and extremely loud.

Seaside is a great place in Isle of Palms. Just a stroll to food at several places. The beach is just steps away or sit on the balcony all day long. Music comes at you on both sides at Windjammer and another restaurant close by but not disturbing. Love Seaside

Overall 4 out of 5. Parking is tight- have to get there right at check in or a little early to get a spot. Basic Breakfast in the lobby, no eggs, just coffee milk toast bagels. The rooms are nice, not elegant or fancy. Its a motel on the beach! Hardwoord floors with refrigerators and microwave. Floors get sandy due to being at the beach. If you have a east facing room, i advise you to bring a blanket or sheet to cover the window. The window shade works but that sun in bright and will show through. We read reviews ahead of time. Showers are nice, not huge. Bathroom was fine, standard. 3 decks, room entrances are from the outside. Ice maker on all floors, towel bins at at the Lobby. Has a small pool on the 2-3rd levels. The hotel is right next to the VFw and The Windjammer. The Windjammer has music concerts on their sand volleyball court. We saw Edwin McCain on 7/3/25. We have stayed here twice now and we have NOT had a bad experience. We stay for a couple nights at a time. Is it spendy? Kind of but they have their own beach access with a shower for rinsing off. The location is amazing. Small island, close to grocery, liquor and gas. Overall, 5 out of 5 for both visits.

If you are looking for a loud/party environment this is your place. There’s an open air concert venue next door that will not let you sleep (no afternoon naps or going to bed by 10)? If you are looking for a quiet place to rest look elsewhere. The rooms are mediocre, but this was not the reason We left half-way through our stay. We wanted peace & quiet so we found a more family-friendly place to stay elsewhere. The video (taken on a Monday)shows a very mild sound, but last night the room was shaking ?

The location was the only positive thing about our stay. $589 for two nights and still had to pay $39 just to park there. The service lacked a lot to be desired. During breakfast had to ask for milk , syrup…has to open a cabinet just to find tongs for the bagels…very unsanitary. The rooms were not clean, sand on the floor, spiders and the smoke detector fell in the middle of the night. The shower water was cold.

It’s the most terrible experience in my whole life. I paid 457$ for only one night, and got a room that was very small, no service at all, small lobby, they was very ugly to us, reception guy ate his soup at front of us. dirty, the scary bathroom was first very small, uncomfortable, dirt on floor, a lot corrosion, there was almost no water coming out of the shower. there was another door in the room leading directly to the next room, it’s scary to imagine if a neighbor might come to you at night. The refrigerator was completely rusty. Also about service I arrived a hour earlier and they told me to pay 100$ over to get earlier in room, also I was needed to pay 25$ for small parking, where was no space for me at evening and they kicked me off from there, and didn’t refund me even money. I told them about this terrible service and room, and operator hand up me. I don't often leave a review but this is terrible, I didn't stay there overnight but left, it ruined my vacation!

If you're considering accommodations in the Isle of Palms (IOP) area, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. We stayed here for one night, and unfortunately, it did not justify the price of over $400. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by an extremely unpleasant odor in the room—so strong that we had to purchase air freshener just to make the space tolerable. The bathroom showed visible signs of water damage, and there appeared to be black mold on the wall/ceiling, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and safety. The pool, which was advertised as a luxurious amenity, was a major disappointment. It was approximately 8x10 feet and could barely accommodate three people comfortably. The only redeeming quality of this property is its beachfront location. However, that alone does not make up for the overall lack of quality and value. I would highly recommend exploring other lodging options in the area.

We stayed in room 217 (deluxe oceanfront). Overall the room was nice and the view was awesome, comfortable bed, great A/C, nice fridge, TV, and microwave. Hotel had a little pool and great beach access. Would stay again due to the location and clean rooms. Price isn't bad. With that said, the pillows were very damp and the toilet was loose and would wobble when it was sat on. On Friday and Saturday night there was a concert at the windjammer (which was awesome!) but came along with 10+ young kids watching the show on our balcony, right outside of the room. They were polite and would move and give us back our chairs when asked but it was a bit annoying. Would be nice to have some sort of gate or code to restrict people from using the balconies that aren't staying at the hotel. Wasn't a big deal as it was only my wife and I but if you were with your family it may be a bigger issue. Get there EARLY if you want a parking spot on-site.

Title: A Nightmare at the Seaside Inn, Isle of Palm, SC 6/20/2025 I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Seaside Inn, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. From substandard customer service to downright disgusting conditions, this place should be avoided at all costs. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a disinterested attendant who seemed more focused on getting off early than on helping us check in. When we finally got to our room, we were met with wet pillows and bedding that felt like they had been soaked in a swamp. It was absolutely revolting! To make matters worse, the TV in our room was inoperable. We called the front desk attendant to assist, as stated earlier, she was ready to leave for the night. As if that wasn’t enough, we encountered roaches the size of my middle finger crawling around the hallway. I was horrified, and I couldn’t believe this place was allowed to operate under such conditions. Parking was another nightmare; there was none! We had to park blocks away and lug our luggage back to the inn, which was a real treat after a long day of travel. The final straw came when my 5-year-old accidentally got his fingers caught in the office exit door. Instead of showing concern, the attendant had the audacity to blame my child for it, saying, “what did the door do?” Incredible! Needless to say, I demanded an immediate refund. There was no way we were going to stay in such a horrendous place. Looking at all the bad reviews, it’s a wonder how this place stays in business. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away from the Seaside Inn!
