The Quality Inn Mt. Pleasant receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its affordable price, clean rooms, and convenient location near Charleston and Patriot's Point. Recent stays have praised the friendly staff and delicious breakfast, but concerns regarding inconsistent housekeeping and occasionally unfriendly front desk staff have been noted.
Great affordable motel with very clean room, breakfast area, and lobby. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Drive up rooms on first floor in a good neighborhood. Great location to visit Charleston and Patriot’s Point attractions from without the congestion of downtown. ????
I'm leaving this review while I'm currently still staying here on my last night (checkout is tomorrow) because I'm absolutely blown away by the EXCEPTIONAL service and the overall Hotel. This the cleanest Quality Inn I have EVER stayed in and 10 STAR Friendliest Staff! House keeping cleaned my room for 2 nights and it was spotless when I came back: new sheets, fresh pillows, Bathroom refreshed, everything ????????!!! I will ALWAYS stay at this hotel when in the area! Absolutely phenomenal. Thank you so much for a FANTASTIC stay!!! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?! P.S. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST TOO ?
Booked the hotel for a overnight guys trip. The price for the area is good. This hotel is clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The room is modern, beds are comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, lots of food options. Most importantly, the area was safe and quiet. I would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend it. We will be back for our next guys weekend in the future.
I stay in hotels for sometimes five nights a week.Due to my traveling for work and with me.I carry my certified service dog in which not only do I have the proper paperwork on me at all times but as well as his I d card too. Upon arriving at 8 PM, there was 2 young ladies behind the desk. After confirming my reservation. I let them know that I am traveling with a certified service.Dog, just in case they did not read the notes. That is attached to my file. And as usual, the land lady asked, what task or service does my dog perform, which was not an issue.Because that is the one question that they are allowed to ask.And I told her she said, okay and proceeded to check me in. While the other lady that stood behind the counter proceeded to question me further as to why didn't I bring my dog in with me?. In which it is something that I do not do when I am checking into a Quality Inn because I know that once I get My key card. I have to then pull around to wherever my room is at. And then she proceeds to ask me, does my dog bark? When someone walks past the door does my dog bark?If somebody comes in my room . I told her no. My dog does not bark when someone walks past my room. And then I also informed her that that was not something she could even ask me to begin with. My dog is very well-trained and he knows when he is supposed to bark. And when he doesn't supposed to bark. And he knows the difference between someone coming into my room to help me.And someone coming into my room to harm me. This lady then proceeded to argue with me that there was three questions that she was allowed to ask in which I then had to proceed back to my vehicle. And get my service dog's I d card, which clearly states on the back of it that the only question they are allowed to ask is, what service does my dog perform. At that point in time, I was told the reason all these questions were being asked was because they didn't want to have to explain to the owner. Why there was no service animals seen on camera in the lobby? So I told them, no problem.Put a copy of my dog's I.D on file which, by the way, they're not allowed to do that either. And I was told, oh, it's no problem. You're only staying one night. And then I guess out of spite, they thought it was cute to put me on the 2nd floor which had there been an elevator it would not have even been an issue but knowing that I have a service dog with me. Every hotel I have ever stayed in has always put me in a ground floor room. Or in a handicap accessible room. For no reason, should anyone behind the desk be interrogating me over what my dog does? And does not do Especially not when I have stated more than once that I had all paperwork. And identification with me! Anyone that is traveling with a service animal?I do not advise staying at this hotel!
We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean but dated. The bed was OK except for the edge dipped down like it had been sat on a lot. Note GPS will not take you here. There must be new traffic patterns or something. It wouldn’t even find the address. Had to call the hotel and they talked us through how to get there.breakfast was good with good variety.
Great location, super friendly staff ( Thank you, Brittany & Faith, these are amazing ladies… Very sweet and professional- so much so that I went to the front the day after checking in to get the name of the staff to directly mention them in this review). The saltwater pool area & quad was very nice, super clean. The rooms could use a little updating but overall very clean! The breakfast was really great! AC in this room was awesome!
I’ll start with check in. I checked in around midnight because of a late flight. The front doors are locked so you have to call the front desk and hope they pick up in a timely fashion. And then you have to hope they’re nice. I know it’s late but that’s no reason to be rude. The hotel rooms are okay. The beds and pillows were comfortable. All lights and electric worked. But the curtains didn’t fully close so I had to hold them closed with a clip. There was some weird spot on the floor and the shower didn’t get hot. I tried everything and it wouldn’t get above warm. The beds were made daily and coffee replenished as well. The vending machine probably hadn’t been serviced since 2020. I got a diet coke which expired in June of 2025, so 2 months ago. It was also dirty and ripped up. The location is good though and I didn’t feel terribly unsafe as a single woman, however the walls or door was PAPER thin so I could hear everything and that made me uncomfortable. TLDR; I’d stay here again with another person for the price but that’s about it. Never again as a solo woman.
Everything was great except housekeeping. The location, the checkin, and the food were awesome! Jessica, who works during breakfast, was awesome! The bar staff was awesome! The restaurant was great as well. My room was great! However, they need new housekeeping staff or they need more training. I think because they have the cleaning every 5 days is a bit too infrequent. I saw them cleaning rooms but mine didn't get cleaned when I requested it. So just make sure if you stay and request a cleaning that it gets done before housekeeping leaves. The night manager seemed annoyed that I inquired about why my room wasn't cleaned and didn't care. So I ended up requesting sheets to replace my sheets. I spilled something on. So just be prepared if you need a cleaning before your required 5th day, it may not get done.
everything is good, but the crew of front desk is unpolite…two girls ( night and morning shift). The rooms is awesome, breakfast was the best …but this 2 woman’s left me bothered. Front desk need be kind and polite, if they are unhappy , america have best people to do that.
Pros: Very good location. Lower cost than similar motels in the area. Good breakfast. Complimentary coffee & juice available all day in the breakfast area. Pool is clean, used everyday by guests, towels available for use in the pool area. Plenty of parking. Parking areas well lit, feels safe. The WiFi is good - 100 Mbps for both download and uploads. Non-slip showers, good hot water. Room is spacious compared to similar motels. Heat & A/C work well. Beds are good. Iron & board in each room. Staff is mixed, some good, others rude. Cons: Refrigerator in room doesn't have a freezer. Pool does not get evening sun but rather is shaded by the building. Desk is a bit small. The breakfast area is too small, too few tables for everyone to sit and eat.
