Loved the hotel, was very nice and love where it is located. If I had to pick a hotel to stay at again while in Charleston, this would be it. Was nice that we didn't have to take all of these freeways to get somewhere. Had a great time in Charleston as we always do even if a day trip as it is usually each summer since we usually stay in Savannah and drive up for the day. Only problem I had was the washer machine (which was quite old) was not working and we had to go to a laundromat twice to wash clothes as who wants to take a week's worth of dirty clothes for two people after being on the beach, etc back home? This was a terrible inconvenience for the amount of money I paid to stay in this hotel. Kept being told by the front desk, "We've called a repairman." Well, the repairman must have gotten lost as it was never repaired while we were there. If I stay here again, I will definitely be calling to see if the laundry machines are working/replaced.

Walking distance to all the things to see/do in Charleston. LOVED our balcony room! On site food was delicious. House keeping was super friendly. Front desk gave amazing service. Valet attendants were super quick and attentive. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Travelled here for work, convenient location to downtown and to offices. The rooms are very basic, dated, and need maintenance. The cleaning staff were very eager for me to leave the room in the morning, knocking 1 time, then entering 2 more times without a knock. If check out is at 11, why am I getting knocks at 9 and 10am? I would stay other places as prices here are the same as other nicer hotels in town.

We hosted a conference in the Grand Cyprus Ballroom and the team could not have been more helpful throughout the event. Cady and her team are utmost professionals who were kind, flexible and on top of things. We were told that guests often praise the banquet food, and I can happily report we received the most positive feedback on the lunches (Thanks, Chef!). The hotel is a short drive from the airport and you can easily walk around the historic areas of Charleston. We would definitely host another event here!

Charleston is EXPENSIVE, but beautiful. This hotel puts you within walking distance to French quarter and king street shopping and restaurants. Check out the piano bar across the park and up a street it’s awesome. Great pool area, though it was not heated so we didn’t go in. The window curtains don’t reach the bottom of the window so it is BRIGHT in the room at like 6am (bring a sleep mask) also the housekeepers are very loud in the mornings at nearby rooms (bring ear plugs) though it’s not their fault, the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly.

This hotel is so amazing! The staff is very kind and professional. Tiffany is the gal to ask for! She is so great! . So helpful. The hotel is clean, organized and pleasing to the eye. The fresh flowers are such an amazing touch. The rooms are spacious, and very clean and quiet. The location can't be beat! Walking distance to everything.

The service is decent and location is excellent. The rooms could use updating and improvements. They are are comfortable, yet unimpressive. Also, I was double-charged for valet/parking. Which is a high priced service side at least $43 per day. Especially high considering I have a manual transmission, and some of the valet drivers were unable to operate this, so they would often just send me my keys and I would have to get my own car. So $86 for two days for a parking spot and someone to hand me keys. And then the double charge, totaling $172. Would not recommend the hotel overall.

Had a top floor room and a very nice experience at this Charleston Hotel in the Historic District. Our front desk check in was with Tiffany. She was very welcoming and professional. We arrived during the Friday 3pm Happy Hour with complimentary Champagne, Beer, and Wine, with a beautiful Charcuterie board. The lobby is lovely and there were many comfy areas to sit back and relax. The parking in on-site and done by a valet. The rooms were spacious with needed accommodations: mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker, iron, board and hair dryer. The beds and pillows were comfortable and housekeeping was provided for even a 2 night stay. That was a surprise! Although you could hear voices easily from the hallway, you heard virtually nothing from other rooms. Our room faced toward the back so had no road noise either. I would definitely come back:)

Checking in Tiffany was great. I felt like she remembered me from my last stay. Went to the bar for dinner and had great service from Michelle. Michelle has always been a great bartender and I enjoy the wonderful service. If you decide to stay at this property you will not be disappointed

Our first trip to Charleston was unforgettable thanks to the Marriott’s warm, helpful staff—especially Jackie. She was always smiling, incredibly knowledgeable about local restaurants and shops, and genuinely kind to guests and colleagues. Her thoughtful service and genuine southern hospitality moved us; we’ll definitely return to Charleston and stay at the Marriott again because of her.
