Bad experience. 1st room a/c didn’t work even though they said it would come on later. When I told him not to leave because it was 11pm the tech admitted it was shot and would never work. 2nd room had a guy on the bed. Michelle at the front desk argued with me that it was my fault because the key holder had the correct room number but she actually verbally told me what room to go to also and that’s what I did. I didn’t know I had to verify that she sent me to the wrong room with the a working key. That visitor was not happy as I entered his room. The third room had a cock roach climbing the wall and two dead ones on the floor,and possibly bed bugs. They did offer me a 4th room so they could spray for roaches but I declined and just assumed the responsibility of getting my own bug spray, since I am sure the next room would have roaches also. The front desk kept calling me Mr. Rickey which is no where close to my name. Their promise to give me a discount ended up being if I would open up a membership they would give me reward points. No thanks they won’t be needed. If Hampton Inn want to be in a guest service industry with overnight guests you have to do better, your guest’s health and safety demands better!

Every single employee on every single day of our stay were outstanding. The common areas were always extremely clean. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. I really appreciate the hooks and cubbies for extra storage options. Breakfast had plentiful options and there were more than enough tables and seating to accommodate everyone. We loved all of the outdoor seating in the courtyard. The pool area and the fitness room is very nice, as is the laundry facility. The hard work and dedication of all that work here are greatly appreciated and with the hotel being older, the updates and the upkeep make it shine. Also in a good location to get to all of our site seeing areas. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good clean hotel that appears recently remodeled or refurbished. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Desk, sofa and large TV. Free breakfast is as expected.

Stayed here with a friend and two dogs while visiting Charleston. It's a little far removed from the action but was a very pleasant stay. It kind of felt nice to get out of the traffic. Clean room. I must say they're scrambled. Eggs are very gross. They're like eating gelatined eggs. The oatmeal was decent. I would suggest an alternative to their eggs. It was a big turn off. I don't think I'll ever forget that feeling in my mouth from the first bite. For the rest, everything was very nice.

The hotel is located about 16 km from the city center. The property is clean and well maintained, and the staff are helpful and courteous. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, providing a relaxing stay. Breakfast was standard and the coffee excellent. Check-in was handled by a very pleasant older lady, and check-out was smooth and friendly. Recommended for travelers seeking comfortable, quiet accommodation outside the city. The hotel’s location is not suitable for walking — there are no sidewalks in the immediate area, making pedestrian movement unsafe. I attempted a morning jog but found it too hazardous to run along the roads due to traffic and lack of infrastructure, which was a significant inconvenience for me. Recommended primarily for guests traveling by car; if you plan to walk or jog, check local routes in advance or consider a more pedestrian-friendly location.

That bathroom and shower in room 400 was amazing! This remodel was carried out with care and precision. I'll stay at this hotel time and time again. Real tile shower walls, expensive space in the shower and water pressure that was divine. The space was clean, well maintained (newly remodeled) and comfortable.

My husband and I normally stay here when he has appointments at MUSC. This time he was in ICU. I stayed at another hotel closer to the hospital. Needless to say they were no where near the quality, service or value. Everyone here go above and beyond. Best shower I have had in years. My room was clean and very comfortable. I will never stay anywhere else but here.

I stayed at this hotel October 27-29 , 2025: The entrance is beautiful, however, there were real live BUGS IN MY ROOM! Although I was moved to another room, I did not get any sleep because the thought of those BUGS being in that other room had me traumatized. The desk clerk apologized, but I feel that the manager should have been involved. I informed my company to NEVER book at this hotel again!

Front service check in was very easy and fast very friendly. The lobby was very nice and clean. Parking was a bit tight cause there we a lot of big trucks with trailers. The room was decent but idk why the beds are so low to the ground, every step I took felt like the floor was going to fall lol but the reason for the low rating will have to go to the baby roaches all over the room. I killed 3 on the wall, 2 in the bathroom, not very happy to see that.

This hotel was phenomenal. My partner and I got the accessible room. The counters and bed were lowered for wheelchair users, they provided a shower chair, and the shower had a detachable head. The bed was comfortable, the receptionist gave me no issues about my service dog and did not attempt a pet fee at the end of our stay. The breakfast was good and so was the coffee. I would definetly reccomend staying here, especially for those who require disability accommodations.
